Production Lead – Gavin Hill
Gavin is an ITV-trained broadcast journalist, producer, director and cameraman with 25 years international newsgathering and programme making experience.
He is a Programme editor with the Turkish broadcaster TRT and a former Director of Television for the Nigerian broadcaster Gotel. Gavin makes documentaries for the South East Asian PAY-TV platform Astro, as well as heading up video production projects for The London Business School.
In 2012 Gavin launched the Features Division of the new global broadcaster ARISE Networks – co-ordinating and contributing films from all over the world.
His consultancy work with BlackRook covers all of our film-making, production and training offer – from corporate videos to broadcast documentaries to preparing corporate executives and charity leaders for on camera interviews and presentations.
Gavin’s CV includes programme production work for the American network ABC, for Sky News in the USA, for BBC, ITV, for Associated Press, Bravo and many more.
He has particular expertise in South East Asia – where he spent more than a decade working for US networks in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.
His own documentary series Big Trouble in Thailand has now clocked up more than a million views on You Tube.
Gavin has deep experience in producing marketing and information films for global brands.
Clients include Nissan (in Oman), Adidas (Scotland), Cargill Foods (Thailand) and Megaman (China).
He spent eight months in the City of London with video and internet company BrightTALK making envelope-pushing films for their client M&G Investments.
